Bronwen Wood Memorial Award

This award is presented annually to the candidate who achieves the highest score on the Certified Financial Technician (CFTe) paper.

In Memory of Bronwen Wood

Bronwen Wood was one of the founding board members of IFTA member society, the Society of Technical Analysts (STA). She played a pivotal role in the development of both the CFTe Diploma Examination and the preparatory courses that support it. In the early years of the program, she personally wrote and graded all examination papers.

Ms. Wood was widely regarded as one of the leading technical analysts of her generation, particularly for her expertise in equity indices and individual equities. In recognition of her outstanding analytical skills and significant contributions to technical analysis education, she was elected a Fellow of the STA in 1993.

Ms. Wood also served for many years on the IFTA Board in a variety of capacities. Through her work with both the STA and IFTA, she earned international respect as an exceptional technical analyst and a dedicated educator whose influence helped shape generations of market technicians around the world.
